Cunningham's classic introduction to Wicca is about how to live life magically, spiritually, and wholly attuned with nature. It is a book of sense and common sense, not only about magick, but about religion and one of the most critical issues of today: how to achieve the much needed and wholesome relationship with our Earth. Cunningham presents Wicca as it is today: a gentle, Earth-oriented religion dedicated to the Goddess and God. Wicca also includes Scott Cunningham's own Book of Shadows and updated appendices of periodicals and occult suppliers. |

Excellent book for someone who is just starting out. It is NOT an advanced book. This is a basic and simple introduction to Wicca. |

Cunninghams book was certainly interesting and provided great information on Wicca. However this is very much a beginner level book, not that Im trying to pull rank here. I highly recomend this book to anyone who is interested in Wicca, and doesnt know where to start. |

This is a well written book for anyone, interested in WICCA. Scott gives great detail on the beliefs and practices of general Wiccans. Whether youre interested in the craft for religious reasons or if just curious in an academic way, this book really helps to show you what witchcraft is really about and dispels a lot of the myths ingrained by society and the Christian church. I think everyone, esp. non-Wiccans, should check this book out |

This book is definitely entry level, in fact is seems to be geared toward adolescents. Unless you are buying it for a child it is a waste of money. Do not expect to learn anything of value from it nor from anything Scott Cunningham has written. He includes a lot of history but not enough for you to actually learn anything. He jumps from topic to topic discussing only a tiny bit before he moves on. The book is an overview of very basic info. There are much better books out there. |
